1. What information do we collect?

Personal information you disclose to us

In short: we collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, or otherwise contact us. This may include:

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

Information automatically collected

In short: some information — such as device characteristics and usage data — is collected automatically when you use our Services.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as device model, operating system, app version, language preferences, and information about how and when you use our app (for example, which features you use and how often). This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and product improvement.

2. How do we process your information?

In short: we process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, ensure security, and comply with law.

3. When and with whom do we share your personal information?

In short: we share information only with the service providers needed to run YardPlan. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their advertising.

We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, or agents who perform services for us and require access to such information to do that work:

We may also disclose information where required by law, or in connection with a merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.

4. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?

In short: our website uses only what is necessary to function; our app does not use advertising trackers.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Our app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use your data for targeted advertising.

5. How long do we keep your information?

In short: as long as you have an account with us, unless a longer period is required by law.

We keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this notice — generally, for as long as you maintain an account. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

6. How do we keep your information safe?

In short: we aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure — transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk.

7. Do we collect information from minors?

In short: no, we do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18, or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at support@yardplan.app.

8. What are your privacy rights?

In short: you may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or certain US states such as California), you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; to object to or restrict processing; and to data portability. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@yardplan.app. We will act on any request in accordance with applicable law.

You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account) or by emailing us. If you signed in with a third-party provider (Google, Apple, or Facebook), you can also revoke YardPlan's access from that provider's account settings.

9. Controls for do-not-track features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized; we therefore do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. We also do not track our users across third-party apps or websites in the first place.

10. Do United States residents have specific privacy rights?

In short: yes — depending on your state, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information.

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@yardplan.app.
